From the land of the Bluenose.....everyone I'm sure had a great 2009 so what do you think you'll do this year as far as goals or aspirations in the hobby. Here are my top 5;
1. Return to the UK to dig again........looks like June 2. Return to the Dominican Rep to dig again.......looks like late April and the 1st of May 3. With Navy Davy hit a club hunt /individual hunt in Maine.......early June or earlier 4. Cross the last two items on my to find list for the full monty.....20 cent piece and a gold coin 5. Get out detecting and swinging more then the 117 times this past year. So what's on your list.....enquiring minds would like to know! From the land of the Bluenose.....life is a beach at least till the tide comes in and the Bud is all gone me bouy! |

1 Get out into the rural areas more often.
2 Find that big gold ring in the water. 3 Teach two new recruits into the hobby (have two willing already ) 4 Find more old silverand coins in general. 5 Hit the older part of the city without getting knifed or mugged. 6 Find a cache. |

RE: What are your goals for this year's upcoming digging season?
Hey there Les. Those rallys are something else. I was in England last September for 3 weeks. Went to a rally near Oxford. I believe it is one of the biggest. 1000 acres of land. We got there late. A couple of hours after it had started. There was around 700 people with detectors. I went into on fairly large field and I counted about 160 in that field alone. I believe there was about 8 separate fields each day. Only detected for about 5 hours but was lots of things to do and see other than detect. Great dealer tent with everything from ancient coins and relics for sale to most detector companys displays of current detectors. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I only check on bright sunny days in certain parts and not on weekends. I'm hoping in generalized terms. - Older school yard change -Fur trade relics -More mountie relics -Cannon shell fragments -A musket ball - And I like that Coronation coin that Peggy mentioned Chris |

RE: What are your goals for this year's upcoming digging season?
I would like to find 10 fishscales this yr. 5 of them vickies. I would also like to find more silver than I did last yr. That shouldn't be hard to do. I would also like the price of gas to go down. I have a better chance of finding 10 vicky fishscales than that happening.
